In keeping with what I have learnt so far of the NARS brand and its style of cosmetic application, the catwalk looks created by NARS for S/S 2016 are very similar. From analysing the below images I have found that NARS always create a very natural, flawless looking complexion with very subtle and minimal contouring - this goes alongside Francois Nars' ethos to enhance a womens natural beauty subtlety. It is very important to point out that with NARS catwalk looks, there is almost always one (sometimes two) areas of intrigue. This can be elements such as a pop of colour on the eye, a bold statement lip or even a brushed up untidy brow. I have found that in catwalk beauty looks NARS keep hair very simple and almost with minimal styling, perhaps to maintain attention on the aspects of the make up look they have made prominent.
How NARS works with the fashion Collection
Ive seen through my research that NARS always strives to compliment the collection they are designing for. This is often either by harmonising the make up look with the collection by carrying forward a specific colour from the various catwalk outfits; or they will use a contrasting tone that compliments the colour palette of the collection they are working with.
